This privacy policy will explain how Regulatory Science Framework for Nano(bio)material-based Medical Products and Devices (REFINE) uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website.

REFINE collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, Address, Email address, Field of work, Company name etc.)

How do we collect your data?
You directly provide REFINE with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online for any of our events, engagement activities and services
  • Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?
REFINE collects your data so that we can:

  • Perform/Direct the External/Inter-Laboratory Comparison.
  • Email you with details of our services.

How do we store your data?
REFINE securely stores your data at Trinity College Dublin, partner in the REFINE Project, in a dedicated Hard Drive.
REFINE will keep your Name, Address, Filed of work Company Name, Email Address for the duration of the REFINE Project. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by cancelling from our safety storage location. (Hard Drive)

What are your data protection rights?
REFINE would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request REFINE for copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that REFINE correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request REFINE to complete the information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that REFINE erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that REFINE restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to REFINE’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that REFINE transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
