JRC – Joint Research Centre-European Commission

The Joint Research Centre is the European’s science and knowledge service supporting EU policies with independent evidence throughout the whole policy cycle. The JRC addresses key societal challenges while stimulating innovation through the development of new methods, tools and standards.

Furthermore, the JRC coordinates knowledge centres with the aim to process science-based evidence informing policy maker and regulatory bodies. A major task of the knowledge centres is the systematic review and analyses of an increasing level of information in scientific literature.
